The story of a photographer


Hi, I’m Katie. I’m 33 years old and I'm a wife, a Mum to our beautiful daughter Elsie, a dog Mum to Luna & Mr Beau (our rescue) and I'm a Christian.


Born and raised in Newport, South Wales, I love nothing more than looking for new and exciting things to capture. My photography interest started from my love for Biology and a bird watching hobby. As an ecologist, I have a passionate appreciation for the beauty of this natural world and the ability to share such wonders through the means of photography.


In Summer 2018 I decided to take my photography to the next level, this is where I fell in love with Wedding Photography. To me, wedding photography is SO much more than just capturing your big day. Having the bride experience myself with my wonderful husband in September 2019, I was so anxious of the thought of having photos taken of me all day. Believe it or not but I’m the most awkward person in front of the camera! This however is something I can help with as I’ve been there, I understand not wanting to spend hours having photos taken or not knowing how to pose for them.


I offer candid, natural, colourful photos that create a documentary style timeline of photos throughout your wedding day so that you can relive it again and again through your photos. I specialise in capturing those precious moments that may go unnoticed during the busyness of the day. I enjoy building a close relationship with my customers and I throughly enjoy getting to know your wedding party which helps create natural, non intrusive photos. I will almost always be wearing my Dr Martens too!


I offer opportunities for posed photos and candid style photos. If you are nervous about the idea of posed photos like I was, please don’t worry as I’ll talk you through it step by step, I’d never make you feel uncomfortable, we can have a laugh with it. I pride myself in putting you at ease (check out what they say about me!).
